Finnhorse is the native horse breed of Finland.
Mare Suvi-Tupsu (born 1994) has been in the family since she was 2 years old. Tupsu is trained to Z - level in dressage and works also in driving. She is our most experienced horse in both EASEL - work and in HorseAgility. She has given birth to three beautiful stallions and is expecting her fourth foal next May.
Mare Virptus (s.1999) came to us in 2006 after she had been rescued from abuse. She had been trained for harness racing but has been both ridden and driven at Savikko. These days she is happy working with clients in EASEL sessions and had her first foal Aava Savikko 2008.
Mare Hovi - Mira (s. 2000) is a pony size Finnhorse who moved to Savikko in the spring 2008 with a background in harness racing. Mira is currently being trained in riding and driving. She will have a foal in spring 2009 by Vahto.
Mare Väpinä (i. Tähen Muisto, e.Voppe) born 2000 was a harness racing horse untill injury in August 2008. Her record per km is 31,5.
Mare Pretty Girl (i. Prince Orac XX BRD, e. Annabell BRD) born 1993 moved to Savikko in the autumn of 2008. Sanni is a medium level dressage horse who is now enjoying her active retirement days and expecting a foal by Pin Rock's Black Velvet.
Gelding Uskon Raiku (s.1990) and Tupsu form the alpha couple of our herd. Usko stays with the mares when they give birth and licks the foals. He patiently educates them in "good herd behavior" and play. Usko, originally trained to medium level dressage, is enjoying his retirement days but is still a wonderful teacher.
Gelding Suvi-Aatos (s. 2004) is Tupsu's foal by Raja-Hurrikaani, and the father of Virptus' foal Aava Savikko.
Colt Waldemar Savikko (born 2008) by Suvi-Tupsu and Vahto. Sold to the sire's owner Heidi Sinda and as a yearling has been granted 1st price at a foal show..

Ponies
Mare Jedidjan Claudia by Welsh B ponies Rhoson Ciwt GBR and Downland Ensign GBR (born 2002) has been with us since she was one year old. Claudia is a brilliant EASEL - pony and the proud mother of Twilight Savikko. She is currently in foal with Welsh Part Bred Pin Rock's Albert.

Competition ponies
Gelding Ai.Ka.Hermann (born 2002) is Gotland Russ by Haj Swe 21 Russ and M.N.Eibe 205 Russ. Hermanni moved in with us in the fall of 2007 as a driving pony. This first competition season together Anna and Hermanni have competed in areal competitions and once abroad in Estonia. They have either won or placed among top 5 in all. Hermanni's training also includes riding.
Driving pony brothers Ekens Concept, Contact and Complete have moved to Savikko from Sweden to teach pair driving after Rebecca Christiansen had to retire driving the pair due to shoulder injury.
The horses at Savikko live on large pasture with free access to indoor sleeping area. The barn also has four indoor boxes, wash box, grooming area and tack rooms.
The foals are handled daily to protect them from unnecessary stress in case of medical emergency, hoof trimming and later training. They accompany mares to riding and HorseAgility practices.
All horses are trained in work at liberty, riding, driving and Agility.
When horses live as a herd on large pastures but are hand-fed, groomed and worked daily, they are calm, fun and willing partners in the work we ask them to do.
